Who We Are

Stage Fright is a local band, with its roots in Chicago, Illinois. “We started as high schoolers in my uncle’s garage,” says Oliver Torres, the lead vocalist of the four. The four soon grew very close, becoming one-hit wonders with their album, You, Me, and Life. Since then, they have started going on tours and they have sold over 2,000 miles. The bass guitarist, Alex Gonzalez says, “Without the help of all our supporters, we could’ve never done it. We’ve come such a long way.”

OLIVER TORRES | Lead Singer

During his childhood years, he was gravitationally pulled towards singing. Back then, it seemed all odds were against him as his highschool music teacher told him it would be a miracle for him to become a popular vocalist. However, with help from vocal coaches, critiques, and his audience, he is one step closer to achieving his high school dreams of being a famous singer. His message to the fans is to never wait for a miracle to happen, but to make it happen.

Austin Petrov | Lead Guitarist

Back in the days, he actually was the only one out of the four to not have any experience with reading music sheets or playing an instrument. He was stubborn at first, believing that it’d be impossible for him to play anything. With enough convincing and help of the band and many nights of practicing, he is prepared to face musical challenges moving forward. Even now, it is still unreal to him how much he has accomplished with the band.

Alex Gonzalez | Bassist

She is the youngest out of the four. Growing up, she was a musical prodigy and excelled in playing instruments and had a knack for playing bass guitar. Set by her motivations to pursue a musical career, she wrote and covered songs during her teenage years. Exploring different genres, she was most interested in the rock genre. Inspired by rock, she joined Stage Fright to spread the message of doing what you love most.

Tyler Moore | Drummer

He is well-known for his good nature and positive attitude. Some say he has a natural talent for performing. He knew he would be destined for greatness when he went on a route towards a music career. In his childhood, his favorite instrument was the drums and any other percussion instrument. It was also his idea of beginning a band to share each other’s creativity. His optimistic attitude at concerts brings the music to life, says fans. Now, he is more than delighted to perform with Stage Fright.
